I live in the UK with my partner and baby. My partner and I work full-time meaning our baby is in full-time childcare Mon – Fri. We love food, cooking & restaurant visits, though this is not as common since becoming parents. When I have time I share my recipes here.
I grew up in a working class family, and was one of the first in my family to go to university with the help of student loans. I love to write and talk about money, especially opportunities for building wealth and escaping debt. I no longer have any consumer debt like credit cards, loans, car loans etc. However, like a lots of people I am still paying my student loan, this was my only option for paying university fees and expenses. I also have a mortgage.
I studied Finance, Investment & Risk and was on track to become a financial adviser, until I graduated in 2008, right at the beginning of the recession. Instead I opted for security and took a role with an investment firm, something I really enjoy and still work at today.
I’m not sponsored or paid
I don’t post sponsored ads, use affiliate links or promote companies that pay me to review their services, not that doing this is wrong, I just don’t have the time or energy to put into that type of blogging, its REALLY hard work.
I love to follow the Financial Independence movement, this means having enough wealth to support all my expenses, eventually having enough to choose whether to work full-time or not.
There are 1000’s of simple, easy & cheap ways to build wealth and no two people will follow the same path. I will share what I have found here on my blog. It can be simple, trust me.
Please feel free to comment on my posts, I’d love to hear from you with any ideas or questions, I’m on most social media platforms under EatSaveLiveUK.
